Andrew Wilson

Andrew is an award-winning Re-recording Mixer and Sound Designer with an internationally recognised reputation for crafting creative, story-driven sound across film and television. He is widely regarded as a leading documentary mixer, particularly on large-scale and theatrical productions.

Trained at the BBC, Andrew began in analogue film workflows and has evolved with the industry into a modern Pro Tools and Dolby Atmos environment. He has received six BAFTA nominations, along with recognition from the Emmys, RTS and others.

More recently, he has focused on feature documentaries and collaborations with researchers in immersive audio. He operates his own mixing studio and works freelance across the UK and internationally.

A strong advocate for early creative collaboration, Andrew mentors emerging talent and delivers workshops, lectures and teaching worldwide. A former Chair of AMPS (2021–2025), he was awarded an AMPS Fellowship in 2025 and is a member of CAS, BAFTA and RTS.
