I’m a Scottish-Algerian filmmaker based in Glasgow with a focus on creative documentary. After my first short doc, ULULATION, made through Scottish Documentary Institute’s (SDI) Bridging the Gap, I trained with OTOXO Productions in Barcelona. I’m currently in post-production for my first feature film, RAISED BY DRAGONS (a coming-of-age documentary – with dragons!) with Peabody Award-nominated producer Steven Lake, funded by Screen Scotland and part of Sheffield DocFest’s MeetMarket 2025 and Tribeca Film Festival’s Creator’s Market 2026. I’m developing a second feature film, GORSE: AN ACT AGAINST NATURE, through Sheffield Doc Fest’s Queer Realities Director’s Lab, SDI’s Write Now Fund and UnionDocs Summer Development Lab. I was selected as a ‘New Voice’ in 2021 by SDI, was a participant in Film in Mind’s supervision group for emerging filmmakers, Reclaim The Frame’s Filmonomics 8 and IDFA Academy 2025.
