Christina Bartson
Christina is a filmmaker based in London with roots in the American Midwest. Her work as a director has been supported by BFI Doc Society, Arts Council England, British Film Council, If/Then Shorts, Field of Vision, 2024 NBCUniversal Original Voices Fellowship, 2023 Global Research Initiative Fellowship (New York University), 2023 Moore Research Fellowship (Swarthmore College), and more. Her directorial debut, Also Resisters (Field of Vision), premiered at Big Sky Film Festival in 2025 and screened at DOC NYC, SFFILM, Mountainfilm, Mimesis, Sarajevo Film Festival, and more. As an archival producer and researcher, she’s worked on productions with many independent productions as well as Breakwater Studios, National Geographic, Vice News, Story Syndicate, Expectation TV/Channel 4, McGee Media, PBS, MTV Documentaries, HBO, Hulu, Netflix, and more. She holds her M.A.from New York University and her B.A. in Media Studies from Emerson College.
