David Felix Sutcliffe is a Sundance and two-time Emmy winning producer committed to urgent and ambitious cinema that challenges colonial norms. His films have been distributed by Netflix, Hulu, BBC, Canal+, PBS, and shown at Sundance, Tribeca, BFI London, CPH:DOX and funded by Sundance, Ford and Doc Society, among others. David’s directorial debut (T)ERROR (Netflix/BBC Storyville) won a Sundance Special Jury Prize, an Emmy and an Independent Spirit Award nomination. He is an alum of the Sundance Producing Lab and Edit Lab, and received the IDA’s Emerging Documentary Filmmaker of the Year Award. Producing credits include SONGS FROM THE HOLE (Netflix), FOR OUR CHILDREN (Netflix) and FOR VENIDA, FOR KALIEF (POV). David was also a co-producer on 499 (Criterion Collection), and a consulting producer on CRIME + PUNISHMENT (Hulu). He is currently a producer on the forthcoming films TIME HUNTER and ALIEN NATION, both supported by Sundance.
