A recent graduate with a first class honours degree, I am inspired by the world of documentaries.   I created two documentaries for my final degree project, one of which – My First Punk Gig (Derek’s Tale) – follows a queer performer, Derek McLuckie, reflecting on his experiences coming out during the seventies punk scene in Glasgow.  The film has been shown at three festivals and won ‘Best Short Film’ award at Berlin ‘Too Drunk to Watch’ film festival.

I have set up my own production company, Hugo and Clay, in which to carry out small projects such as promotional films, but I am looking to network and work with other producers/directors/crew in order to foster future documentary productions and bring them to life.  I am all about shining a light on the minority within a minority  and giving them a voice.
