Dear DFC Members, Allies and Supporters,
This is the final call for nominations to serve on the DFC’s first-ever elected Board of Directors. The extended deadline is this Sunday (21st April) at 11:59 BST.
Please note: to stand for election or to be eligible to vote, you will need to become a full voting member here.
We would also like to invite you to save the date for our second Open Assembly at Sheffield DocFest in June. Read on for more details…
Last chance to stand for election!
There’s never been a more important time to stand up for documentary in the UK so please consider standing for election and encourage your friends and colleagues to do likewise – and to join the DFC if they haven’t already done so.
Having an elected board of directors is vital to ensure the DFC is accountable to the community it represents, and serving on the board is an opportunity to work with colleagues across the industry to improve conditions for everyone. Full training will be provided so if you haven’t served on a board of directors before, please don’t let that hold you back.
The extended deadline for nominations is now Sunday 21st April at 11:59 BST (see below for the full election timeline).
Save the date: Open Assembly @ Sheffield DocFest 2024
We are pleased to announce that we will be holding our second Open Assembly at Sheffield DocFest on the morning of Saturday 15th June.
We will kick off with our AGM where we will present our brand new Board of Directors, update you on what we’ve been up to since we launched and what our plans are for the year ahead. The next part of the session is yet to be confirmed, but you can expect a similar format to last year – lots of participation, community building and snacks!
Please pop it in your diaries and follow the link below to download and read last year’s Open Assembly Findings.
We will be in touch with more exciting news and updates soon, but in the meantime if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].
In co-operation,
