Anisa Sabiri

Anisa Sabiri is a London-based Tajik writer-director whose short films and moving image works have been screened at A-list and BAFTA-qualifying festivals, Documenta 15, and the Venice Biennale. Her slate of projects has been selected at Edinburgh Pitch, Berlinale EFM Doc Toolbox, Ji.hlava, goEast, and Docmonde.
Anisa is an alumna of industry talent schemes including BAFTA & CHANEL Asian Film Academy, Docmonde, and Sheffield Future Producers at Doc/Fest 2023. With the support of a UK government CHEVENING scholarship recognizing global leadership, she completed an MA in Screenwriting from the London Film School, receiving the Outstanding Screenwriter Award at graduation, supported by Final Draft.
Anisa is one of the contributors in the Independence Project by Doc Society & Disco Network.
Most recently, she was awarded DYCP Arts Council support for her work in the field of experimental moving image.
