Colin Thomas

Colin Thomas was a BBC documentary producer/director who resigned from the BBC over programmes he directed in northern Ireland to become a founder member of a television cooperative. His awards include three Best Documentary from BAFTA Wales, the Jury Award at the Celtic Film and Television Festival and a Prix Europa.

Owned and run by and for its members, the DFC is the first national membership organisation for the UK’s documentary film industry.
