Crusoe Weston

(Self-describe)
Director of Photography, Editor, Self-shooting P/D

Raised in Brighton, I have spent the past 15 years developing my craft across visual media, beginning in the photographic industry as a studio assistant, lighting technician, and digital imaging specialist before progressing into commercial cinematography for fashion, advertising, cosmetics, and corporate clients as a DOP, editor, and producer. In the last three years, my focus has shifted towards documentary filmmaking, where I now direct short films to develop my portfolio, and build connections within the documentary community. My varied experience, from hands-on production and camera work to post-production, editing and grading, gives me a solid technical foundation and a solid knowledge of workflows. I am passionate about social and environmental issues, folk culture, equality, and local storytelling. Currently training as a Mountain Leader, I bring enthusiasm for outdoor and community-based narratives. Eager to learn, I approach every project with organisation, interpersonal skills, and a commitment to documentary storytelling.
