Ed Gibbs is an award-winning producer and writer based in London. Together with Rubika Shah he formed Smoking Bear, an indie committed to telling bold, compelling stories from around the world. Ed is best-known for WHITE RIOT, which won multiple awards including the Best Documentary Prize at the BFI London Film Festival. His films have premiered at festivals including Sundance, Berlin and Hot Docs. Prior to becoming a producer, Ed was Sunday film critic for The Sydney Morning Herald.
