Elena is a filmmaker and creative producer.  After a BA in Media and Communication and an MA in Film Studies,she began working as a runner on HETV and worked her way up to production manager, overseeing different productions in the UK and Europe. Throughout her career she has collaborated with award winning producers and directors while at the same time nurturing her identity as a filmmaker. In 2018, she founded OxyGene Film Productions, through which she produced short films and documentaries  and was selected as a Future Producer at Sheffield Doc Fest. Elena’s commitment to community service and her desire to make a positive impact through filmmaking redirected her career path towards social impact projects. She’s currently in development with her first social impact doc as a director.
