Emily Copley is joint Acting Director of the Documentary Film Council (DFC), the UK’s first national body for independent documentary. She was previously Producer at The Whickers, an international fund for emerging directors, has a background in exhibition and distribution and was part of the small team that opened the UK’s first documentary dedicated cinema, Bertha DocHouse. Emily has consulted on a number of feature documentaries including The Hermit of Treig (2022), Red Herring (2023), Children of the Mist (2021), No Simple Way Home (2022) and Light Falls Vertical (2022). She is currently producing her first feature documentary.
