(he/him)
Camera Operator, Director, Producer

An award-winning film graduate with first-class honours.  My documentary My First Punk Gig (Derek’s Tale) (2023) – follows a queer performer reflecting on his experiences during Glasgow’s punk scene. The film won Best Student Film at the European Union Film Awards 2024 among other accolades.

In 2024, I set up my own company, Hugo and Clay Productions, and became an active member of the SQIFF (Scottish Queer  Film Network).  I created A Tight Five Hours, a short documentary based on my experiences being a queer comic with a stammer, which is currently enjoying festival selection.

I recently completed the Glasgow Film Festival Industry Mentorship scheme, in which I was able to work with professionals to strengthen my project developmental skills.  Three exciting projects are currently in development and I am interested in networking with other documentary filmmakers from Scotland, as well as talking to those with television production links.
