I am a BAFTA-winning, Grammy and BIFA-nominated director, specialising in documentary portraiture in feature docs and commercials.

Having started my career making music videos and documentaries for artists such as PJ Harvey, Coldplay, Laura Marling, The Maccabees, Elbow, Patti Smith, Mumford & Sons and Benjamin Clementine, my work moved toward a broader spectrum of storytelling: www.fred-scott.com

My latest feature documentary, London Bridge: Facing Terror, won a BAFTA (Director: Emerging Factual) at the 2024 BAFTA TV Awards. The film was a self-developed project, produced in collaboration with Raw and Channel 4. My previous feature documentary, Being a Human Person, was nominated for a BIFA in 2020 and shortlisted for a BAFTA Film Award (Outstanding Debut) in 2021.

I have also been nominated for a Grammy (Best Music Film), shortlisted for a Grierson (Payday) – and nominated at the MTV MVAs for my work in music videos.
