Freya Wilkinson

(she/her)
Director, Production Assistant, Researcher

I am a 26-year-old documentary filmmaker with a background in production accounting and management. After studying documentaries at The Met Film School, I directed But You Don’t Look Autistic?, which earned festival recognition, including an Honorable Mention and Best Documentary nomination.

Currently, I work as a Development Researcher, helping a new production company build its project slate through idea generation, market research, and pitch materials. I am also studying Factual Development and Production at NFTS to refine my research, pitching, and project management skills. I am also currently working on my own short documentary.

I participated in the Getting Real 24 BFI Doc Society & FWD-Doc Virtual Delegation, expanding my industry knowledge and connections. With experience in production management and a passion for creative storytelling, I am dedicated to developing impactful documentaries that amplify underrepresented voices and spark meaningful conversations.
