I traded as Projectile Productions for a while, then took a break, and am now providing production services through a newer company, Octopoid Ltd. I recently co-produced a docufiction short with Le Fresnoy, the French postgraduate arts centre. Areas I have worked in include non-fiction films, hybrid films and creative documentaries; a common factor in all these projects – for example the features ‘Privileg’ and ‘Dark Light Voyage’, or the short ‘After All’ – is the development and support of directors facing up to quite painful subject matter. Our meanings and our feelings, as someone else once put it. Little of this work is in the UK, but, as I did with DAE, I wanted to support DFC and its serious and passionate filmmakers from the start.
