Dr Hiu Man Chan is the Founder and Director of NGO UK-China Film Collab.

She is an executive producer, producer and an academic affiliated with De Montfort University. From May 2025, Hiu Man has also joined the Independent Cinema Office as a trustee board member.

The UK-China Film Collab is a unique NGO spin-off from a former Arts & Humanities Research Council funded project. Its mission is to inspire and encourage film related collaboration and constructive debate between the UK and Greater China. Since 2020, it has been active in development, production, exhibition, film festival, talent development and advocacy. It also offers tailored consultancy and advice to UK based companies who are interested in entering the Chinese market and vice versa.

To date, it has become one of the most specialised organisations in the sector and widely known as a disruptor.
