Holly Black
Holly is an independent documentary filmmaker who specialises in human stories and radical filmmaking approaches, and is co-director of Black Bark Films, a female-led filmmaking collective based in Bristol, UK.
Films include: A SPECTACLE OF HERSELF (2021, 20mins) Visual performance film made with performance artist Dr Laura Murphy; THE ACCIDENTAL CHOIRMISTRESS (2021) Quarter finalist in Southwest Regional shorts, Cornwall Film Festival; ONE ACRE (2019) Permanent collection at Barnstaple and North Devon Museum; IN OUR HANDS (2017) Winner of Agrofilm Jury Award, Slovakia, Official selection: Festival de films Alimenterre, Hunger.Macht.Profite.9, British Documentary Film Festival, New Earth International Film Festival, Courage Film Festival, now available on Waterbear; 100 MILES & 2 MOUTHS (2016) official selection for Annual Copenhagen Film Festival, Hebrides International Film Festival , Harvest Film Festival, Greenmotions.
Holly also works as an educator and facilitator at the University of the West of England and the BFI Film Academy short course.
