Imogen Putler

(she/her)
Editor, Self-shooting P/D

I’m a self-shooting PD and offline editor with over a decade’s experience in making long and short-form documentaries. I am particularly passionate about character and community-led stories, and stories exploring social and environmental justice, arts, music and politics. As an editor, I work with producers and directors to identify the emotional journey of a story, how to hook the audience and how to tell stories sensitively and thoughtfully.

My first feature documentary ‘Cool Daddio: The Second Youth of R Stevie Moore’ was produced with Spring Films and released on Sky Arts in 2019. Since then I’ve made short documentaries about climate refugees and illegal fishing for the Environmental Justice Foundation, and oil workers contemplating switching to renewables for Greenpeace UK.

Nominated for the New Talent Award at Sheffield Docs 2019 and winner of the Charity Film Awards in 2022.
