Luke Davies (He/Him) is an interdisciplinary Creative Producer and the Founder of Polari, an award-winning production company that champions the boundlessness of queer and marginalised lives through film, television, and more.
His first short film What Would Julie Do?, starring Julie Hesmondhalgh and Julie Walters, was selected for BIFA-qualifying Women X and Sunderland Shorts Film Festival, and picked up ‘Best Comedy Short’ Award at Southport International Short Film Festival & Cotswold International Film Festival.
His next short On Rest & Movement was selected for BAFTA-qualifying Bolton Film Festival.
Luke’s debut documentary Stranger in My Family, which he developed and initially produced,won the BBC Three Northern Docs Pitch at Sheffield Doc Fest (2022). It is due for release in September 2023 as a Nine Lives Media production, in association with Polari.
