Luke Hagan

Luke is the Digital Programme Coordinator at Exeter Phoenix, responsible for programming and administering digital and film skills training, overseeing and executive producing an annual short film commission scheme and supporting and facilitating regional filmmaking. Luke also acts as project manager for funded cinema and film heritage projects, working with artists and partner organistations to deliver commissions, workshops and events which promote engagement with archive and cinema.

In addition to this Luke is a director and programmer at Two Short Nights Film Festival, an international short film festival which platforms south west film talent alongside the best national and international shorts.

Recently, Luke has co-founded a documentary development lab based at Exeter Phoenix, which aims to provide peer-to-peer support and increased opportunities to develop documentary film.

Prior to working at Exeter Phoenix Luke spent a decade as a freelance editor, filmmaker, and cinema projectionist.
