Mimi Poskitt is a cultural leader with extensive experience across documentary, theatre, live events, and the performing arts. In March 2025, she became Managing Director of Sheffield DocFest, one of the UK’s leading documentary festivals, where she oversees business affairs, audience development, operations, fundraising, and strategic partnerships.

Her career spans senior roles at major UK cultural organisations. She was Executive Producer at City of Culture, delivering a year-long arts programme with broadcast and digital work, and Director of Producing at Secret Cinema, leading a period of growth and international expansion. Mimi also held senior producing roles at the Lyric Hammersmith and Leeds Playhouse, and has produced West End shows, international tours, and award-winning documentaries.

A Fellow of the RSA, Chair of the Mervyn Foundation, and Royal Television Society Award winner, Mimi champions storytelling as a force for empathy and change, and is committed to supporting diverse voices in documentary filmmaking.
