Olu Adaeze
Olu Adaeze is a writer-director, producer, and the founder of Ikenga Creative Lab, a UK-based independent production company specialising in high-quality scripted content and documentary formats. Ikenga Creative Lab was founded with THE mission to redefine storytelling by centring narratives that challenge convention, provoke thought, and resonate across cultures. The company amplifies diverse voices and culturally rich stories, whilst also holding a distinct and separate commitment to championing African stories.
Before founding Ikenga Creative Lab, Olu worked across creative industries, working with clients like with Nike, Walt Disney, Channel 4, and Vogue, as well as institutions including the Royal Academy of Art, the International Organisation for Migration, and renowned theatres like the Young Vic, Old Vic, and Bunker Theatre. Beyond filmmaking, Olu is an Associate Artist at B3 Media, a David Lyle Foundation Scholar, and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Documentary Film Council.
