Paul Cromptonis a documentary Director and Executive Producer. In his 25 years in the business he has also worked at three networks in commissioning. 

He started life in nuclear engineering aged 15, and stuck it out for 6 years while at nights and weekends he made short films and was in a band-the’Madchester’ period.

He got a job at Granada TV Studios in the kitchens washing up and went on to supervise bands recorded for various TV shows, got promoted and even presented a TV report. 

Current projects: 

Dogspiracy (in cinemas soon), a feature doc on the politics and people trying to stop the industrial puppy breeding trade.

Ottoman Empire by Train is currently on TV in the UK.

Got Lead in film festivals this year: a doc on Baltimore’s lead paint scandal with Myron Higgins from the Saul Zaentz Innovation Fund
