Sam Coffey is a British-Irish, award-winning editor, specialising in documentary. He recently edited two-part docuseries The Guilty Innocent with Christopher Eccleston, for Sky History.
He is currently editing his second feature documentary that was, in 2023, selected for the Sheffield DocFest MeetMarket and finalist of the Sundance Edit and Story Lab. He is also editing his second short, A Story Left Behind, a recipient of the Doc Society Made of Truth fund.
His first short, Centred (2022), that he also directed, won Best Documentary at the British Short Film Awards.
He is also a freelance Assistant Edit Producer on BBC Sport’s Football Focus.
