After years of battling with the wind in the Orkney Islands, Selina moved to study animation at the Edinburgh College of Art.
Her degree film, Takuskanskan, won several awards including the Craft Award at the British Animation Awards in 2004.
Over the last 20 years Selina has created content for CBeebies, CBBC and commercial commissions for clients including the
National Trust for Scotland and the NHS.
Her filmography includes Beachcomber, Crow moon and Spindrift, which have all been funded by organisations such as
Channel 4, the British Film Council and the Scottish Film Talent Network. Each of her films were in official selections at over 40 international film festivals and Spindrift was nominated for a Scottish BAFTA in 2017.
She is currently being supported by Screen Scotland to write her first feature film screenplay.
