SimonMercer is a Canadian/British documentary director and producer based in London, UK. He has made numerous documentaries on the theme of artists living on the margins, as well as music videos and short narrative films. These include the short film “EMTY DRIVE (funded by the Canada Council for the Arts), the feature documentary “Gary”, and collaborations with musicians Caribou, Dean Blunt, Babyfather, Bar Italia, Actress and the Junior Boys.
His short film “GlassEyes of Locust Bayou” won the Oscar qualifying Best Short Documentary award at the Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, USA.
His video work has been published by Vice, Boiler Room, Dazed Digital, and others.
