Toni Lotta Groner

(she/her)
Assistant Editor, Director, Editor

Toni Lotta Groner (b. 2001, Berlin) is a documentary filmmaker based in Bristol, whose work explores identity, resistance, and collective creativity. A recent graduate of the Filmmaking BA at the University of the West of England, Toni is drawn to stories that amplify marginalised voices and reflect the dynamics of social movements through intimate, expressive storytelling.

Her short documentary Wicked & Bad won the Encounters UK Student Award (2023) and the RTS West of England Craft Award for Editing – Factual (2024). Toni brings a multidisciplinary approach to filmmaking, informed by her interest in photography, youth media education, and community arts.

With a persistent and collaborative spirit, she thrives in creative teams and adapts fluidly across roles — from directing to cinematography. Whether capturing spontaneous moments or building conceptual visual worlds, her films centre connection, joy, and the politics of expression.
