Vicki Lesley has been working in documentary for almost 25 years. In the early part of her career, she developed and produced top-rated and award-winning TV documentaries for British and American broadcasters including the BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, History, Discovery and National Geographic.

In the late ’00s she began making films independently through her company Tenner Films, directing several short docs, animations & experimental films which screened at festivals and online.

Her debut feature doc, ‘The Atom: A Love Affair’, was released during the pandemic in 2020, long-listed for the BIFA Discovery Award and has sold to Netflix and broadcasters around the world, while her most recent film as consulting producer, ’The Nettle Dress’ , was released in September 2023 and enjoyed a sell-out cinema run across the UK.

She lives with her partner and children in Brighton and facilitates a peer support group for mums in documentary.
